To get you started on your goal to become a car insurance agent, you may contact your state’s insurance regulatory body in Montana. This organization will be able to provide you information on what it takes to be issued your state required broker or agent’s license.
In many states, licenses are only issued to applicants who complete specified pre-licensing courses and continue on to pass a state examination covering insurance fundamentals and insurance state laws. Usually, part of this is classroom hours is a test and then a final exam.
After getting your car insurance license be prepared to take continuing education classes to retain your license designation.
